Intersections
*Winner of the Homiens Art Prize*
'Intersections' is Owen Gildersleeve's new series of original multi-layered paper cut artworks. The series captures life in its simplest of forms, through intersecting graphical shapes and hand-cut layers or paper. The artwork uses a very limited selection of bold coloured paper sheets, working in a gradient from light to dark and layered using board.
One of the studies from the series ‘Intersections: Study I’ was selected as a winner of the Winter 2025 round of the Homiens Art Prize.
The Homiens Art Prize is an international, non-acquisitive art prize open to artists of all backgrounds, with no restrictions on medium, theme, or size. It awards over $12,000 annually to artists, including cash prizes for winners, exhibition opportunities, and promotional features “helping to elevate art careers to new heights.”
A new array of artworks from this series will be on display in Owen's stand at the upcoming London The Other Art Fair.
